My throat hurts, my nose is all stuffed up and I slept most of the morning. I had already scheduled yesterday off as the first of my every Wednesday off for the rest of the year. I wonder how hard my boss would laugh if I try to change that to a sick day...

Hate is a strong word. There aren't many people or things that I hate in this world. Dubya, I hate. And to be fair, I hate dumbass terrorists just as much. I guess I just hate dumbasses. I hate country music. And anyone who knows me professionally knows that I have some serious hate for Microsoft. Seriously, Billy G can come to Atlanta and kiss my yellow ass. With that said, it pains me to admit that I make a living using their software.

I've recently sold out even more by deciding to pursue an MCPD certification. I've always thought certifications were useless (especially Microsoft ones but I hear CCNAs are actually damn hard to get) and I actually hold it against people if they list MCSD on their business card or resume. These things are so easy to get that even a thirteen year old kid can get one. Now this might be the smartest kid ever but that doesn't mean I'd go hire the dude to come work for me.

However, given the total crapfest that my job has become, my skills are a little behind the times and I am forced to play the certification game. I'll go buy the overpriced books and the practice exams and drink the nasty Microsoft Kool-Aid but I don't have to like it. I just need to get this crap over with so I can get a new job.
